It has been five years since I have been pregnant and let me tell you what, NOTHING has changed with what is available IN stores for maternity dresses. I remember searching high and low for something that made me feel beautiful in a body that was hardly recognizable from what it was just months prior to finding out I was expecting our second baby.
Going from store to store and even driving an hour to the mall to see if I could have better luck there, was exhausting and so discouraging. Or how about ordering something online, it finally arrives, and it just does not fit the way you wanted it to. And the real kicker here... I'm probably only going to wear it a handful of times throughout my pregnancy.
I knew when I started my photography business that I wanted to start a collection of dresses, all in one place, that would be available to my clients. This was in hopes to completely cut out all the negative feelings I had experienced while on the hunt for the perfect dress.
In my eyes, every single baby bump that has been/will be in front of my camera is beautiful and should be shown off. In my opinion, the perfect option to do that is a form-fitting one. What a tight-fitting dress does during our session is put ALL the attention on the bump itself.
Now, if a dress that is snug truly isn't something you're interested in (no matter how much I hype you up), I still have a dress for you! From long sleeve, off-the-shoulder, sheer, or the always classic and flattering black; I've got a dress for any season or esthetic.
Honestly, if you ask my husband, he would probably say that I'm a shopaholic since I'm always looking for the latest trends and ordering different gowns to add to my always-growing maternity client closet!
