Capturing Sweet Moments
Personally, working with you to design a cake smash set is one of my favorite creative outlets. There are no rules or limitations when it comes to cake smashes. They can be as creative and outgoing or as simple and sweet as you want them to be.
There are so many choices when it comes to cake smashes, such as an indoor session at my home studio in Vassalboro, Maine, or an outdoor session that can take place anywhere in Central Maine. We can even do a mixture of both!
About Your Session
Cake smash sessions don't have to be limited to just photos of your little one. We can also take some time to get some updated family pictures. We can do a family studio session or we can do these family photos outside. I have also started sessions in the studio and traveled to an outdoor location for the family photos after. All this can be discussed during our consultation to plan exactly what you want.
FAQ
Do I need to bring the cake?
I will offer you the option to send me cake ideas that you like, or I can pick one based off the set we have chosen. I tend to lean more towards a simply cake and a creative set. This allows most of the focus to remain in your 1 year old.
Do you have certain sets you use?
I do have themed sets available here in the studio for you to pick from. However, I will also create a custom set for you if that is best for your vision. I will show you the available sets and we can go from there! I personally love creating new sets. This allows your little one to have their own unique session.
When should be book the session?
I recommend booking your session at least 2 months before you intend to have your session. Some parents chose to have their session when their little one is closer to 11 months old and they use the photos for the birthday party/invites. Some parents want to do the session as close to their actually first birthday. Either way, 2 months allows me to make sure I can get you in when you want the session.
