I'M PUBLISHED
When starting my photography career, I really had no idea what direction I was going in. Honestly, the photography thing kinda just happened for me. I remember my husband buying me my first camera (that was not even a DSLR), and I would take photos of my kids - and I loved it. One night, I had a dream that I upgraded my camera, and I was IN LOVE. I woke up the next morning and told my husband it was happening. I was upgrading my camera.
I didn't know what I was going to do with this upgraded camera, it just felt right.
Around that time, I was becoming close friends with a local photographer who needed help second-shooting weddings. One summer, I did multiple weddings unpaid just to learn the ropes and learn more about photography. At this point, I was still working my corporate job and really wasn't sure exactly why I was so passionate about photography.
Carolyn from Blais Photography asked me if I wanted to shoot my very first wedding on my own. A small backyard wedding that was so gorgeous and filled with so much love. From there, I was hooked.
4 years later... and now I am published?! SAY WHAT?!
Shutter Up Magazine is a great magazine for photographers to show case their recent work. For this specific issue, over 400 photographers were considered and only 30 were selected.
I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far, but I am more excited to see where all of this takes me. I could not do it without all of you: the ones who read my blogs, like my photos, and support my business. I truly owe everything to you.
