Getting Started
Selecting your photographer can be an overwhelming task, so how do you know you're picking the right one for you and your family?
First and foremost, you should always start by checking out their portfolio online. If you've ever scrolled through mine (or even my Instagram), you would see that my preferred color palette throughout my work is neutral and earth tones. Don't get me wrong, I love bright and vibrant colors as well but I find that when working with my clients - most everyone can use the cozy Maine esthetic to match the style of their home. During our consultation, we will discuss what colors you may be thinking of and go from there.
Step 2:
The second thing you should consider before taking the leap and picking your photographer is: are you even going to like them as a person?! LOL
You should always have fun with your photographer and be on the same page about what you want from a session! If you're leaving and think to yourself "oh my word, that was just a terrible time," then I didn't do my job properly. It's not just about getting the perfect images, I want the whole experience to be enjoyable. I strive to be personable and fun to help ease the awkwardness that some first-time clients may have in front of the camera, in hopes to capture those true authentic laughs and smiles!
And Finally
One last thing that should be considered is if the photographer has the products you're looking for.
What really sets me apart from the rest is that I will sit down with you and together we will curate a gallery of edited images that you love from our session. You will not only leave with your digital copies but with prints as well! You are in full control about which images you want to purchase and which ones you don't.
This is not only my job, it's my passion to be able to capture all the special moments in your life.
