A Beautiful Wedding Day

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of second shooting a stunning wedding with Jen Stevens Photography. Our day started bright and early, as usual, with the groomsmen. Capturing their excitement and anticipation while they got ready for the big day is always a highlight. After some fun and candid shots, we all headed to the church together, and what a sight it was!

The ceremony took place at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Lewiston, Maine. I was absolutely captivated by the beauty of this church. With its stunning stained glass windows and intricate statues, it’s truly a church like no other. The Catholic ceremony was deeply moving, and though it lasted an hour, it felt much shorter because of how engaging and heartfelt it was.

Once the ceremony concluded, Jen and I made our way to the reception at Lost Valley Ski Resort. The transition from the historical beauty of the church to the picturesque charm of the ski resort was incredible. At Lost Valley, we worked closely with the venue’s coordinator, Kayla. She was incredibly thorough and made sure every detail was perfect, contributing to a flawless wedding day.

The reception was filled with heartwarming and joyous moments, from the first dances and anniversary dance to the entertaining shoe game. Every part of the evening was special and full of love and laughter. Lost Valley served a delicious dinner, and once the meal was over, the dance floor came alive with energy and celebration.

Capturing these precious moments with Jen was an absolute joy, and seeing the love and happiness of the newlyweds and their guests was truly heartwarming. It’s days like these that remind me why I love what I do.
